For many people living in the remotest parts of Northern Tanzania, transportaion costs are prohibitive. They simply cannot afford to be tested or treated for HIV, malaria, intestinal parasites, and the variety of treatable diseases found in this part of the world.
Many medical conditions common in Tanzania can be treated and corrected, but early intervention is imperative.
The FAME Mobile Medical Service is working with other Non-Governmental Organizations involved in advocating for people living in villages outside the sphere of accessible medical care. The Mobile service is also involved in school-wide health screenings and provides bi-weekly services to the Rift Valley Children’s Village where over 40 orphaned children are receiving love, care and support.
